Can Acting Passion Survive Social Media’s Financial Pull?

Milena Traikovich, a leading expert in demand generation, has mastered the art of driving effective campaigns that nurture high-quality leads for businesses. With her profound experience in analytics and performance optimization, Milena has become a dynamic influence in the industry. In this interview, we delve into her journey, her transition to acting, and the intersection of online presence and creative pursuits.

How did you first get started with content creation on social media?

I began content creation out of a simple desire to share my expertise and insights with a broader audience. The platform allowed me to connect with like-minded professionals and businesses who were eager to learn about effective marketing strategies. It became a natural extension of my work in analytics and performance optimization.

Can you tell us more about your transition from content creation to acting?

The transition was quite organic for me. As I built my online presence, opportunities in acting started to appear. I saw acting as a new way to express creativity and storytelling that complemented my work in content creation. It allowed me to explore a different aspect of my passions beyond the analytical realm.

What inspired your passion for acting despite your successful content creation career?

Acting has always been a hidden passion of mine. Even though content creation fulfilled my professional ambitions, acting provided a personal creative outlet. It allows me to immerse myself in different characters and narratives, offering a unique form of expression that is incredibly rewarding.

How do you balance your time between managing your online content and pursuing acting roles?

Balancing both can be challenging but manageable with the right schedule. I prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance, allocating specific time blocks for content creation and acting. It’s crucial to maintain discipline while remaining flexible to accommodate the demands of both fields.

You mentioned that content creation pays your bills. Can you elaborate on how the income from acting compares?

While acting is something I am deeply passionate about, it hasn’t reached the point where it can match the financial returns of my content creation work. My online presence is established and generates consistent revenue, which gives me the freedom to pursue acting as a passion without financial pressure.

After your role in “The Great Indian Family,” did you receive any Bollywood offers?

I didn’t receive any direct Bollywood offers after that role. I continue to audition like many actors. Even with some recognition from social media, it’s essential to prove my capabilities through auditions rather than resting on the laurels of social media fame.

What is the audition process like for someone with your social media background?

The audition process is primarily the same as it is for anyone else in the acting world. While having a social media background provides a bit of visibility, I still need to demonstrate my acting skills and suitability for roles. It’s a process I respect and appreciate for its meritocratic nature.

You mentioned having some privilege of recognition. How does that affect your opportunities in the acting industry?

My social media presence certainly opens doors and gets me noticed by casting directors. However, I still have to perform well in auditions to land any roles. Recognition can facilitate access, but talent sustains a career.

Do you believe that social media following impacts casting decisions in the acting world?

Social media following can impact casting decisions, as it brings additional reach and audience to projects. However, it’s not the deciding factor; casting is ultimately about finding the right talent for the role. A strong social media presence is beneficial, but it doesn’t replace the need for acting prowess.

Can you share more about your role in the web series “Mistry”?

In “Mistry,” I play a character that challenged me to explore new dimensions of my acting skills. The role was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with talented actors and dive deeper into a storyline that is both engaging and thought-provoking.

How has your social media presence helped you in your acting endeavors?

Social media has been crucial in building my personal brand and reaching a broader audience. It provides a platform to showcase my work and acting capabilities beyond traditional avenues, connecting me with industry professionals and potential collaborators.

Are there any specific acting projects that you are currently working on or looking forward to?

I am currently exploring several opportunities, and while I can’t disclose specifics yet, I am focused on roles that allow me to grow and challenge myself creatively. I’m excited about the future projects on the horizon.

How does your experience in acting compare to content creation in terms of creative satisfaction?

Both provide immense creative satisfaction, but in different ways. Content creation allows me to be strategic and innovative, using data to influence outcomes. Acting is about emotional exploration and connecting with audiences on a narrative level, offering a different yet equally fulfilling spectrum of creativity.

What advice would you give to aspiring content creators who are interested in pursuing acting?

I would advise aspiring creators to be authentic and dedicated, irrespective of the platform. Use your content creation skills to build a solid personal brand, as this could open doors in acting. Pursue acting with the same rigor and passion, embracing the process of auditions and continuous learning.
